IEEE Consent and Release
I am eighteen (18) years of age or older and grant to The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Incorporated, (“IEEE”) the following in connection with my participation in the Tech News Guest Blog.
- The non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty free right to use, distribute, publish, digitize, broadcast, reproduce, display, modify, create derivative works of, archive, or otherwise exhibit, in any format or medium, whether now known or hereafter developed, or to refrain from doing so: (a) my presentation and comments at the Tech News Guest Blog; (b) any videotaped interviews of me; and, (c) any materials, including written, audio and visual works that I submit for use in connection with the Tech News Guest Blog (collectively, the “Materials”). For the avoidance of doubt, the rights granted include the transcription and reproduction of the Materials for inclusion in products sold or distributed by IEEE and live broadcast of my presentations at the Tech News Guest Blog.
- In connection with the rights granted herein, I grant IEEE the non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty free right to use my name, picture, likeness, voice, and biographical information I agree that IEEE will have the right to attribute statements to me, which are expressions of my personal experience and belief, which may be contained in any resulting media. I agree that no portion of the resulting media containing my name, biographical information, quotes, photographs, or recorded interviews needs to be submitted for any approval. I further understand that I shall have no ownership in any of the resulting media incorporating my comments, likeness, or name.
- To the best of my knowledge, my presentation and Materials do not violate any proprietary or personal rights of others (including, but not limited to, any copyright, trademark, or privacy rights), is factually accurate, and contains nothing defamatory or otherwise unlawful. Where necessary, I have obtained all third party permissions and consents to grant the rights above and have provided copies of such permissions and consents to IEEE.
- Except for the rights expressly granted to IEEE above, I retain ownership of the intellectual property rights in the Materials.
- I hereby expressly release and forever waive any and all claims, actions, causes of action, demands, rights, damages, costs, attorney’s fees, losses and expenses which I may have against IEEE suffered by me as a result of or arising from my participation.
- I acknowledge that I have carefully read and understand this document and what it means with respect to their participation.
